My Best Trip Ever: Jim O'Brien

In the summer of 1995, I was the associate basketball coach at the University of Kentucky, and our head coach, Rick Pitino, arranged a trip for our team to play some games in Italy against international competition.
The trip started in Lake Como. We arrived midmorning and my wife, Sharon, and I were invited on a motorboat ride around the majestic lake. It was the perfect day, with beautiful weather, great friends, good wine and the time to enjoy it all.
Our trip continued to Milan, Florence, Venice and Rome for two weeks of the most enjoyable sightseeing, eating and basketball a person could ever want.
